The Royal Oak

German foundry Die Typonauten has just released a unique 3-face family, the distressed but attractive Royal Oak. The three related but aesthetically dissimilar typefaces include a shadowed condensed sans, a big fat display serif, and a face full of dingbats, ornaments, swashes and typographic helpers; each complements the other.

Just curious... how are these related? Just my ignorance, I imagine, but I see no connection.
